The meeting between Prime Minister Mario Draghi and M5s leader Giuseppe Conte has been
postponed after the tragedy of the Marmolada
which sees the Prime Minister engaged in an inspection in Trentino.
This morning Conte had given the willingness to postpone the face to face when he learned that the head of the government was going to Canazei.
Consequently, the National Council of the Movement was also postponed.
Palazzo Chigi awaits the meeting to make assessments and possibly draw conclusions.
No predictions and no indications on any points of fall of the Prime Minister with respect to the possible requests of Conte.
Even if the path already traced (and shared with the parties) between now and the end of the year, starting with the application of the PNRR and the green light to the indispensable reforms, still represents the guiding star for the government's moves.
So, I listen but no derailment from the set line.
With the clear confirmation of never having asked the Guarantor to get rid of the former prime minister from the 5-star guide.
In the background there is the unknown factor of the exit from the Executive for possible external support, an epilogue towards which many Orthodox M5s are pushing.
A process that would fundamentally undermine the stability of the government and of the legislature itself.
And on which Il Colle, Palazzo Chigi itself, but also the Democratic Party and Luigi Di Maio do not seem to identify alternatives.
If the movement takes the extreme step of calling itself out, the only way will be the end of the government and probably the dissolution of the amera.
Meanwhile, from the Democratic Party, Franceschini's warning: if the movement chooses external support "it will lead to the end of the government and the impossibility of going to the elections together".
