Summery dessert from Italy: Make fruity-fresh watermelon pudding in just a few steps
Cut the watermelon flesh into cubes and remove the seeds.
Puree the pulp as finely as possible until it is liquid and then pour it through a fine sieve into a saucepan.
This should produce about
500 ml of watermelon
juice.
Dissolve the sugar and starch in the watermelon juice and bring to a boil.
Flavor the liquid with a little cinnamon.
Simmer the
watermelon pudding
until the starch binds the liquid well.
Then pour the
Gelo di Anguria
into dessert glasses or bowls that you have previously rinsed with cold water and refrigerate the pudding for a few hours.
During this time, the liquid should turn into a jelly.
Before serving, sprinkle the Italian watermelon dessert with chopped pistachios and chocolate.
Tip: Seedless watermelon saves work
If you want to save time and effort when preparing the watermelon pudding, simply buy a seedless watermelon.
These
