Jill Kortleve, the size 40 model, embodies the bohemian Chanel bride

In the middle of couture week, the Dutch model signs a landmark appearance, in a free and enchanting wedding dress, closing the fall-winter 2022-2023 couture show.

She is a regular at Chanel presentations.

However, this Tuesday, July 5 marks a new stage in its relationship with the house on rue Cambon.

Jill Kortleve was indeed chosen for this fall-winter 2022-23 couture week to embody the last silhouette of the show: the bride.

Dressed in a white strapless dress, a long embroidered wool shawl, the Dutch model made a strong impression on the podium, installed exceptionally at the Etrier de Paris, in the Bois de Boulogne, and not at the ephemeral Grand Palais.

She is wearing a bohemian-looking midi-length wedding dress, accessorized with a flower-embroidered shawl.

As if to close this enchanted stylistic parade, Virginie Viard decided to add an immaculate white satin bow to the model's hair.

A successful marriage

This is a ritual introduced in the 1950s: a wedding dress closes a haute couture show.

And the model who wears it is crowned with recognition by her peers.

She who was the first in ten years to parade with measurements outside the "standards" of fashion, opens a new page in the history of the house.
