Almost a year after the murder of Dutch crime reporter Peter R. de Vries in Amsterdam, investigators have arrested two more suspects.
That brings the total number of suspects to the complex to five.
A 27-year-old man was arrested on the Caribbean island of Curacao and a 26-year-old in Spain, prosecutors said on Tuesday.
Both are Dutch.
The investigators did not provide any information on the exact allegations against the men.
Peter de Vries was considered the most prominent crime reporter in the country.
In July 2021 he was gunned down in the street.
He succumbed to his injuries nine days later.
He was 64 years old.
Two men were arrested shortly after the attack.
They are already on trial in Amsterdam.

A suspected man behind the scenes was also arrested on Monday.
According to the investigators, the 27-year-old is said to have given the perpetrators instructions on the murder on an encrypted cell phone.
According to media reports, the 27-year-old man has a direct connection to a notorious drug gang.
Investigators believe the gang's boss, Ridouan Taghi, was behind the murder of de Vries.
De Vries was the key witness who heavily incriminated Taghi and his gang in court.
The brother and the lawyer of the key witness had already been murdered (read more about the background here).
