In barely three years of existence, the Majelan podcast platform has undergone changes in editorial line and economic model.
It is now beginning a new chapter in its history: that of redemption.
The company founded by Arthur Perticoz and Mathieu Gallet, former CEO of Radio France, has just been acquired by the content agency ETX Studio (ex-Relaxnews) for an undisclosed sum.
Mathieu Gallet becomes on this occasion chairman of the board of directors of ETX, while his partner is named
"senior product advisor"
of the group.
If ETX Studio looked at Majelan, it is because the content agency, which works for many media, wants to become
"a champion of audio in a mobile situation"
, explains its CEO, Jérôme Doncieux.
The company is betting on the market for entertainment applications within connected cars, a sector it was able to look into at the end of the 2010s when Renault launched the aborted AEX project alongside it...
