A trampoline of their own is a wish of many children - but sometimes to the suspicion of the neighbors.

Are there any regulations regarding hopping in the garden?

As soon as the sun shines, many families head outside so that the children can play outside.

The trampoline, on which the little ones can romp around to their heart's content, is very popular.

However, the joy of neighbors and landlords can be limited.

When it comes to hopping in your own garden, there are actually a few rules that need to be observed.

Rules must also be observed when jumping on a trampoline.

When is it allowed to jump on the trampoline?

The same rules apply to jumping on the trampoline as to mowing the lawn or vacuuming in the apartment:

no noise may be made during the

midday rest period from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and between 10:00 p.m.

According to the German Press Agency (dpa), the Real Estate Association (IVD) Region West in Cologne pointed this out.

If a quiet frolic on the device is not possible, it is taboo.

Note, however, that

rest periods may vary by state and sometimes even by local authority

.

So find out in advance about the noise protection regulations in your area.

Can I set up a trampoline in the garden?

Before you set up a trampoline in the garden, you should also check whether it is allowed.

For example, if all tenants have the

right to use the garden

, you must first get everyone's consent.

However, if you alone have the right to use the garden, it is not absolutely necessary to ask - but it can't hurt to be polite.

It is important, however, that the subsoil must not be damaged by the trampoline - the tenants have to pay for the costs.

Fun in the home garden

Do you want to make your children happy?

Trampolines are now relatively affordable - for example the garden trampoline from CZON SPORTS (advertising link) with a diameter of 360 centimeters.

As a

condominium owner

, you may also set up a trampoline in a condominium complex if you have a special right of use and this is not firmly anchored.

That was decided by the district court of Munich (AZ: 485 C 12677/17 WEG).

It also didn't matter that the use of the garden as an ornamental garden was agreed in the declaration of division.

The judges ruled that this form of use does not prohibit children from playing in the garden.
