Two kidnapped priests were released in Nigeria, including an Italian.
Aid to the Church in Need reports on Twitter the release of Father Emmanuel Silas, from the diocese of Kafanchan, Kaduna, one of the three Catholic priests whose kidnapping was learned in recent days.
But the local press also reports that the police rescued Father Luigi Brena, an Italian, who was kidnapped in Ogunwenyi, a Usen community in the local government area southwest of Ovia, in the state of Edo.
Brena, 64, was kidnapped on Sunday evening but no news had yet been heard.
