The International Volleyball Federation has formalized the new formula and the calendar of the 20th edition of the World Championships scheduled in Poland and Slovenia from 26 August to 11 September, after the well-known war events following which Russia was ousted both from the organization and from participation in the world championship.

The round of 16 will be played from 3 to 6 September, in Gliwice (Poland) and Ljubljana (Slovenia);
the quarters in the same venues on 7 and 8 September.

The men's national team, as per the initial draw, will be involved in Pool E against Canada, Turkey and China.
