"Intolerance, Hypocrisy and Hatred of Religion": Yael Bar Zohar Returns Fire to Nida Storm | Israel today

Yael Bar Zohar Breaks Silence on the Net:

In a post she posted last night (Tuesday) in the evening to her personal column on Instagram, she asked to explain herself and the reasons that led her to participate in the project that promoted Nida, attacked the media and the culture of unbridled discourse in Israel. She finally hugged the other participants in the venture and prayed for free love.

"The last few days have not been easy for me," Bar Zohar wrote to her 366,000 followers on Instagram with a picture of a pair of hands forming a heart shape using their fingers.

"I believed and I am still convinced that women are allowed to talk respectfully about any subject in the world, including tradition and Judaism. When I was offered to lead the 'This is Your Day' project, I was happy for the opportunity.

"Then he started on them in all the media. Most commentators and writers did not watch the interviews at all and relied solely on the information and commentary on television," she accused.

"Unfortunately I felt on my own that our discourse culture is on a dangerous slope. Some of the aggressive moral sermons have revealed aspects of intolerance, hypocrisy, and religious hatred," she continued to argue against.

Bar Zohar then took the time to comment on the money she received for participating.

"On the issue of payment - as in many panels, as far as I know, the participants received compensation for their participation, without being dictated to them what to say," she clarified.

"There were no elements of coercion, solicitation or incitement in these interviews, God forbid," she asked.

Towards the end of her speech, Bar Zohar expressed hope that we would learn an important lesson and lesson from the affair: "I hope that only good things will emerge from this storm. The discourse created now, with concepts such as freedom of expression and due diligence, is welcome," she stressed.

"Embraces and strengthens all the participants in the project. I sincerely hope that we will deal mainly with accepting the other and free love," she hoped.
