At the conclusion of the Fourth Scientific Conference for Syrian Researchers at Home and Expatriate for the year 2022, the participants recommended today the need to develop a database for Syrian expatriate researchers wishing to work to achieve the vision of the conference in cooperation with the concerned authorities.

The participants also called for holding workshops and scientific conferences in the Syrian diplomatic missions abroad and to consider the possibility of holding specialized conferences that bring together specialized expatriate and resident researchers with the concerned authorities to reach the optimal solution.

The recommendations also included the establishment of a scientific team of specialists in the conference axes, whose tasks are to review and study the works that were presented to expatriate researchers, select the most needed research, identify scientific bodies working in similar fields, and communicate with them to inform their specialized researchers of the content of the research, as well as communicate with those expected to need them.

The participants also stressed the need to follow up and analyze the implementation of the recommendations of previous conferences, improve the course of the conference, set clear parameters for the research papers submitted to the conference, inform researchers about them, and work on linking the conferences to each other, such as presenting a success story in the opening session of each new conference for one of the partnership cases between an expatriate researcher and a resident researcher or a transfer case. technology or other previous conferences.

With the aim of strengthening partnership with the private sector, the Supreme Commission for Scientific Research and Raayati Investment Company signed at the conclusion of the conference an agreement for joint cooperation.

Under the agreement signed by Dr. Majd Al-Jamali, Director General of the Supreme Commission for Scientific Research, and Dr. Yassin Al-Ali, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Raayati Investment Company, the two sides will cooperate in the field of supporting scientific research and contributing to the transformation of research outputs into applications of the national economy.

The two sides also cooperate in holding conferences, seminars, workshops and specialized training programs inside the country, developing national expertise, preparing economic and technical feasibility studies for projects resulting from scientific research to be invested and marketed to other parties, and spreading the culture of a knowledge-based economy.

The work of the conference, which was organized by the Supreme Commission for Scientific Research in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, the Syrian Virtual University and the Arab School of Science and Technology, under the title “Towards the Knowledge Economy.. The Role of Syrian Researchers in the Homeland and the Expatriate,” was launched yesterday at the Al-Assad National Library in Damascus with the aim of creating effective research and applied partnerships. Between researchers in the homeland and the expatriate, the transfer and settlement of the Syrian Tech.

The conference was attended by Syrian researchers from inside the country and Syrian expatriates in France, Iran, India, the Russian Federation, Germany, Japan, China, the United States of America, Britain, Spain, Switzerland, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Sweden.
