Weeds are a thorn in the side of many gardeners and should be removed as soon as possible.
However, you should rather be happy about a plant.
At the sight of weeds in the garden, many cannot keep their hands still and start weeding.
After all, the wild plants compete with the lovingly planted garden plants for water and nutrients.
Many weeds are also a nuisance in the lawn, because clover, daisies and the like gradually crowd out the sown grass.
Weeds provide a good indication of the
soil quality in your garden
.
The sight of weeds like dandelions disturbs many gardeners.

Dandelion indicates good soil quality in the garden
If
dandelions are growing in your garden
, you should be happy from now on: the weeds with the yellow flowers indicate good soil quality.
Dandelions will only flower if they get enough nutrients from the soil and if the soil is generally in good condition.
So if you discover dandelions in your garden, you can save yourself the fertilizer.
The same is true of
thistles
: the prickly flowers are also a sign of good soil quality.

Get rid of dandelions - that's how it works
If you still want to get rid of dandelions, you should do so before the white seeds form.
Then the dandelion spreads very quickly.
There are different methods for this.
Try using hot pasta water.
Regular lawn mowing also helps to prevent dandelions from multiplying so well.
Otherwise, the only thing that usually helps is to cut out the dandelion along with the root.(as)
