F1 22 gets bad grades from players - not because of the in-game purchases

"F1 22" is currently being punished by many players on Steam.
The reason is not the microtransactions.
F1 22 was recently released and players have now hosted their first virtual Grand Prix races.
Even before the release, fans of the racing game series were skeptical about the new feature "F1 Life".
With this, players can buy all sorts of virtual items, but sometimes only for real money.
Such in-game purchases have become established in many games over the past few years.
However, if developers act too aggressively, the games are punished by the players with bad ratings.
With "F1 22" that's not the only reason why the Formula 1 simulation on the Steam gaming platform receives quite a few negative reviews.

"F1 22" currently has almost 3,000 reviews on Steam, of which a significant
36 percent are currently negative
.
Many users complain about
numerous bugs
.
For example, there are
problems with the sound
, which sometimes fails completely.
Additionally,
not all input devices work
as they should - this seems to be the case more often with steering wheel controllers.
In addition, players have noticed that the
opposing drivers are much more aggressive
than in the predecessor and thus provoke accidents.
The VR
mode
, which was available for the first time
,
probably doesn't work properly either and often leads to crashes or severe jerks.
Of course, the previously mentioned
"F1 Life" mode
also gets criticism, as it has no real use, apart from allowing players to view their virtual items in a static mode.
It is also questionable why
crossplay between Steam and Origin is not
possible, even though both are the PC version of the game.
All of these issues are causing players to leave
negative Steam reviews
.
There they write, among other things: "A rotten reskin of Codemasters' F1 21, only this version has brought back a whole bunch of bugs that were already fixed in F1 21".
How is that even possible?” The developers of Codemasters will certainly accept the criticism and release updates.
So far you've had a very rocky start with "F1 22".
