There was a serious traffic accident with a bus in Heidelberg.
This collided with a wall and a house facade, the police said.
18 people were injured, at least one seriously.
According to the officials, the driver of the articulated bus had left the vehicle because of a defect in one of the rear entrance doors.
For reasons that are still unknown, it started moving and, after driving a few meters without a driver, crashed into a wall and then into the facade of a building.
Eight injured people were taken to nearby hospitals.
The seriously injured passenger was flown to a clinic in a rescue helicopter.
