The Nintendo Switch Pro was originally supposed to be released in 2021, rumors say.

Now there are growing signs that the console will be revealed this summer.

Hamburg – It was supposed to appear last fall, the Nintendo Switch Pro.

Contrary to expectations, players were presented with the current Switch OLED model from Nintendo.

The new screen of the OLED Switch was well received by the fans at the time, but the disappointment with the technically otherwise largely identical model was still chiseled in their faces.

Now the references to a Nintendo Switch Pro are piling up again, as reported by IPPEN.MEDIA ingame.de.

There is increasing evidence of a Nintendo Switch Pro

What currently indicates a Nintendo Switch Pro?

Twitch streamer

@Shokio_YT

sums up the rumors about a new Nintendo Switch Pro model on Twitter.

According to him, there are three reasons for an update of Nintendo's hardware, which is now more than five years old.

Massive Spending on Raw Materials

: Nintendo is making serious investments in raw materials right now.

The Japanese company spent over 66.517 million yen on it.

That's twice the amount of money spent producing the Switch list.

However, it should be borne in mind that raw material prices have also risen steadily in recent years.

Nintendo secures rights to "NSW"

: Perhaps this is a precautionary trademark.

However, as

@Shokio_YT

writes in his tweet, it's an open secret that NVIDIA calls the switch "NSW" in their communications.

It is possible that this is really a new product, such as a "Nintendo Switch Wide".

Nintendo is making YouTube videos about the Switch Lite and Switch OLED private

: Probably the most telltale hint about a new model of the Nintendo Switch.

Various advertising material is currently switched privately on the Nintendo YouTube channel.

That happened last time the Nintendo Switch OLED model was raring to go.

Nintendo Switch Pro is rumored to be unveiled in summer 2022

Is a Nintendo Switch Pro reveal imminent?

But that is not enough.

Gaming analyst

Serkan Toto

also spoke about the Nintendo Switch Pro case.

On Twitter he announced:

"Summer 2022, Pro time indeed"

.

The post has now been put back online.

The Internet and especially the insider forum Resetera does not forget and archived the tweet.

Unlike usual, Nintendo hasn't held a major press conference or Nintendo Direct itself this summer.

So maybe players will have a big announcement coming up soon.

Speculations about a Nintendo Switch Pro were already boiling up last year.

Bloomberg's colleagues first reported on the alleged Nintendo Switch Pro, which should be equipped with new chips and other technical updates such as 4K.

At the same time, Nintendo is said to be planning a true flood of games that would be held back to this day.

Rumors also claim that Corona-related delivery bottlenecks in particular are to blame for the fact that the Nintendo Switch Pro, which Nintendo never officially confirmed, had to be “postponed” in 2021.
