Samir takes a look at an Instagram post from Transavia, an Air France-KLM group company.

A joyful photo that advocates respect for LGBTQI rights on the brand's planes with a "rainbow flight" slogan.

“They should have put handcuffs or something like that, rainbow flight, not at all.

Unsafe, insecure flight, yes surely”, regrets the 27-year-old young man.

On May 26, as he was about to take a flight to Tunis, Samir presented himself at check-in, having been unable to complete the formalities online.

After waiting in the wrong queue, he was redirected to a Transavia ground staff member.

The man refuses to record it and adds "For people like you, I can't do anything".

"But what about people like me, Samir is surprised, I was on my ass, I thought it was a joke".

The Francilien then films himself, still in the hall of Orly, his eyes misty, his voice full of anger.

He missed his flight and is still struggling to realize what he has just suffered: “It's the first time I've experienced subtle homophobia”.

Since then, the company has apologized in private messages exchanged with Samir on social networks, then in a press release sent to Le Parisien.

“This is unacceptable behavior that does not reflect the company's values or commitments.

Transavia France does not tolerate any form of discrimination,” insists the company.

For his part, Samir insisted on filing a complaint, “I went there thinking that maybe it will change things, maybe not.

At least there is this trace that proves that they were not fair with me.

He's also waiting for "a promise that it won't happen again."

“How can we still be discriminated against for our sexuality in 2022. How in 2022 can we still campaign for these things.

It shouldn't even be subjects anymore, ”laments Samir.
