Today, the Ministry of Education signed two memorandums of understanding, the first with the French humanitarian organization (Trinacle), the second generation, and the second with the organization of the Civic Volunteers Group.
Under the two memoranda, the two organizations provide support to the Ministry of Education in the areas of rehabilitating school infrastructure, providing educational supplies, psychological support for students and students, implementing awareness campaigns and supporting the capabilities of educational staff, in addition to cooperation in the field of compensating educational losses and supporting vocational education.
Minister of Education, Dr. Darem Tabbaa, stressed in a statement to SANA after the signing the importance of strengthening cooperation with international organizations and institutions in this field, which would have a positive impact on the quality of education, programs and activities, especially with regard to the return of dropout students to schools, reviewing the measures taken by the Ministry in preparation for participation in the Education Transformation Summit that It will be held in New York next September.
Director of Planning and International Cooperation at the Ministry Ghassan Shoghari explained that the areas of cooperation included in the two memorandums support the ministry’s efforts in facing the challenges imposed by the terrorist war on the education sector, especially in the field of rehabilitating schools damaged by terrorism, indicating that there are more than 8,000 schools out of service in various governorates.
It is noteworthy that the memorandum was signed by the Ministry of Education, the Director of Planning and International Cooperation, the Triangle Organization, the director of its mission in Syria, Youssef Qassem, and the Civil Volunteers Group, Claudia Oriolos.
