(ANSA) - MILAN, 07 JUL - 82.9% of the share capital took part in the exchange tender offer (Opas) launched by Mfe-Mediaset on the Spanish subsidiary Mediaset Espana.
Now Mfe holds de facto control of the assembly of the Spanish group, which would have been obtained beyond any threshold above 75%, and starting six months from today it will be able to launch the merger project, considering it a starting point for the strengthening of the European holding and for the international expansion of the group.
The Board of Mediaset Espana had advised shareholders to join and at the beginning of the month Mfe had improved the cash part of the offer: 4.32 euros, against an initial proposal of 3.72, for every two shares of the Spanish subsidiary, leaving the non-cash part unchanged.
