(ANSA) - TURIN, 07 JUL - Stellantis has reached an agreement with the metalworking unions - with the exception of Fiom which has not signed the agreement - for 1,820 voluntary exits with incentives.

This is 3.7% - explain Fim, Uilm, Fismc, Uglm and Aqcfr - of the 49,000 employees of the Italian plants.

An active relocation path called 'active placement' is envisaged with specialized companies in the sector.

"This is a positive agreement - comment the trade unions - because it will make it possible to adapt the workforce in a socially responsible way by providing a concrete and innovative tool for active relocation, with exclusive voluntary adhesion, which we hope will give concrete results. The transition to electricity involves a period of transition during which there will be a decrease in the work contribution and a significant change in professional skills, which will have to be managed through professional training and new hires. Stellantis must implement the investments envisaged in the industrial plan at short notice ".

For Fiom "there are another 1,820 incentives for exits from the central authorities, from the staff areas and from the plants of Termoli, Verrone, Pratola Serra and Melfi, which Fiom has decided not to sign. 4,000 male and female workers in less than 2021. It is not possible to continue navigating on sight without having medium- and long-term perspectives and suitable tools to guarantee work and productive activities.
