A burglar was caught in the act of trying to fry a slice of meat loaf in a house in Baden-Württemberg.
The man had gained access to the residential building in Stimpfach through a window in the basement around 9 p.m. on Wednesday evening, the police said.
There he apparently made himself at home in a room.
According to the report, he first prepared a place to sleep, took a shower and then ran to the kitchen on the ground floor.
There he finally got the slice of meat loaf out of the fridge to make something to eat.
The noise woke up two residents who were sleeping on the first floor.
The burglar escaped through the front door.
A search for the approximately 35-year-old man was initially unsuccessful.
A police spokesman spoke of a bizarre case.
