A teacher in Saxony-Anhalt gave his students illegal information on topics in the Abitur exam - and in doing so did neither them nor himself a favor.
The 22 young people from a grammar school in Beetzendorf in the north-west of the federal state have now had to make up for an oral examination in the subject of social studies.
This was confirmed by the state education authority in Magdeburg.
The "Magdeburg Voice" reported first.
Because the high school graduates had an "unauthorized advantage" due to the teacher's misconduct, the test had to be repeated, said a spokesman for the state education authority.
Now the legal consequences for the teacher would be examined and implemented after the procedure was completed.
Some written statements from those involved are still missing.
According to the information, the examinees themselves had pointed out the misconduct of the teacher and exposed him.
The exam was repeated on Tuesday and Wednesday.
