Recall for farmer ham in seven federal states - RKI warns three groups of people in particular

The Frankfurt company Wilhelm Brandenburg has to withdraw its farmer ham from the sale.
The reason given by the manufacturer is the detection of listeria.
Frankfurt am Main – The Frankfurt meat products manufacturer is recalling its farmer ham.
The product went on sale in Brandenburg, Bremen, Hesse, North Rhine-Westphalia, Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia.
Affected are the 100 gram packs with the expiration date 07/31/2022 and the batch number: 0009532970.
According to the manufacturer, the recall is being carried out in the interest of preventive consumer protection, as Listeria has been detected in a pack of the product.
The company advises against consuming the product.

Recall: Robert Koch Institute warns of Listeria disease
According to the Robert Koch Institute, Listeria disease usually manifests itself within 14 days of infection with diarrhea and fever.
Pregnant women, the elderly and people with a weakened immune system in particular can develop more severe illnesses.
Anyone who has consumed these foods and develops severe or persistent symptoms should seek medical attention and report possible Listeria infection.
Pregnant women who have eaten this food should seek medical treatment and advice even if they have no symptoms.
For other people without symptoms, this is not useful.

The company has already reacted and had the affected product withdrawn from sale, reports Wilhelm Brandenburg in a press release.
Customers who bought the goods could also return the product to the shops without presenting the receipt.
According to the manufacturer, you will receive a refund of the purchase price.
