Victim of a flood of questionable comments, the 26-year-old actress posted a plea on Instagram calling for women's bodies to be left in peace.

She had bet on a fuchsia dress, voluptuous and all in transparency, to attend the Valentino fashion show, which was held on July 8 on the grand staircase of the Spanish Steps, in Rome.

The outfit revealed her breasts and her “small nipples”.

A boldness that did not go unnoticed, since Florence Pugh – who notably distinguished herself in the film

The Young Lady

(2016) and

Midsommar

(2019) – was the target of “body shaming” by a majority of men , as she hinted, this Sunday, July 10, on Instagram.

rant

“Listen, I knew when I wore this amazing Valentino dress that there was no way it wouldn't be commented on.

Whether negative or positive, we all knew what we were doing,” began by writing the actress under a carousel revealing photos of the evening.

After which, Florence Pugh nevertheless questioned herself on "the ease with which men can totally destroy a woman's body, publicly, proudly, in the eyes of all".

And this, in 2022.

And to add: “This is not the first time, and it will certainly not be the last, that a woman will be told what is wrong with her body by a crowd of strangers.

What is disturbing is the vulgarity of some of you men.

The actress continued her long missive by explaining that she, for her part, “ended up accepting the subtleties of (her) body”.

"I'm happy with all the 'flaws' I couldn't bear to look at when I was 14," she said.

"Small breasts"

Among the criticisms received, many focused on "her small breasts", "her flat chest" and her nipples.

“I have lived in my body for a long time.

I am fully aware of the size of my breasts and I am not afraid of them.

What is more disturbing is rather... Why are you so afraid of boobs?

Small?

Big ?

Left ?

Right ?

Only one?

Maybe none?” she said.

The one who explained that she grew up in a home filled with "strong, powerful and shapely" women, said she was proud of the "folds" of her body and tired of this kind of judgment.

"In this industry, I've always made it my mission to say 'fuck it and fuck that' whenever someone expects my body to conform to an opinion that dictates what's sexy or sexually attractive," she wrote.

“Grow up.

Respect people.

Respect the bodies.

Respect all women.

Respect humans.

Life will become much easier, I promise you,” she concluded, before quipping: “And all because of two cute little nipples....“.
