They channel the anger with their music - and apparently even after an eleven-year break.

On Saturday, Rage Against The Machine played their first concert of the reunion tour at the sold-out Alpine Valley Music Theater in East Troy, Wisconsin.

The tour was actually planned for 2020, but because of the corona pandemic, the crossover metal band had to postpone it by two years.

Rage Against The Machine's anger was primarily directed at the US Supreme Court, which passed the historic "Roe v.

Wade' judgment overturned.

The Supreme Court is now clearing the way for stricter abortion laws – even including complete bans in some states.

"Forced childbirth in a country that is the only prosperous country in the world that does not have guaranteed national-level paid parental leave," a lyric appeared on the screen behind the band, while vocalist Zack de La Rocha yelled "Yeah!"

"Forced childbirth in a country where maternal mortality rates are two to three times higher for black women than for white women," the text continues.

"Forced birth in a country where gun violence is the number one killer of children and adolescents." It ended with the following statement in capital letters, with the band calling for the abolition of the Supreme Court: "Abort the Supreme Court."

The amazing?

No one in the band spoke during the 90-minute concert, the message only came across the screen, the music conveying their upset.

Just one day after the Supreme Court's decision, the California band wrote on Instagram: »Rage Against The Machine are committed to reproductive justice and will continue to oppose any attempts to restrict these freedoms.

Criminalizing access to abortion will only increase the suffering that afflicts BIPOC communities.”

Following Zack de la Rocha's return to the band in 2007, Rage Against the Machine last performed in Los Angeles in 2011.

In addition to de la Rocha, it also includes Tom Morello, Tim Commerford and Brad Wilk.

The fans in Europe will soon be able to see for themselves, in September Rage Against The Machine will be performing in Hanover, among other places.
