Three runners have been gored to varying degrees and another three have suffered bruises. The feared specimens of the livestock live up to their fame and star in a tour of three minutes and 12 seconds

The bulls from the Cadiz herd of Cebada Gago have been faithful to their history —the ones that have caused the most gorings in their 31 participations in San Fermín—, and have returned to the running of the bulls the tension, emotion and danger that are their own.

According to the first medical report, three young men have suffered gorings in one leg - two of them in the square - and three others have been bruised in various sections of the journey, a very slight balance for the drama experienced in some moments of the running of the bulls.

The race has lasted three minutes and 12 seconds, and has combined very showy races in the long and straight street of Estafeta, where the broken herd ran at breakneck speed, with two dramatic sequences, one a few meters from the entrance to the alley and another in the ring itself.

One of the brown bulls that was running alone stopped dead on the way down and stood with his back to the gate of the plaza, and there, half dizzy, waited unintentionally for the young men who found themselves face to face with the astifin pythons of the bullring. animal and wallowed in its meat and general panic.

Simultaneously, two bulls entered the ring together, approaching without further intention towards the tables, where many runners were crowded and one of the

barleys

wanted to greet those present and did so in his peculiar way of touching them with his pythons.

He hooked two young men, one of them was able to get away quickly, but the other was stabbed in the belly, lifted in weight, and, once on the ground, the bull returned for his prey, while the young man was able to take shelter in a trickster

The beating has been brutal and presumably there has been one of the gorings in the morning.

If that young man has only received a leg injury, as it seems, he has been lucky because the seconds that he has been at the mercy of the bull in very adverse circumstances for his anatomy have been eternal.

Interestingly, the most dangerous moments have occurred in the final stretch of the running of the bulls.

When the rocket sounded, it was a solo halter that took the lead in the race on the Cuesta de Santo Domingo, but soon passed the baton to a black bull that arrived first and far above the others to the Plaza del Ayuntamiento.

Then he was overtaken by two more comrades, while the halters took it philosophically, so that the three bulls suddenly ran into the planks of the Estafeta curve and crashed into them.

The tension of the moment made them soon forget the morrocotudo blow and they headed straight down the street as if nothing had happened.

The three of them ran like mad —the herd was already completely broken and that's how they would reach the square—, they dodged many interfering runners, they pushed others, although it is true that very nice races were seen led by experienced young men who felt very close to their shoulder pads the panting of animals.

Then came the tension, the drama, that small pile at the entrance to the bullring, general panic in those who encountered the bull without being able to avoid it in its mad rush, and the violent scene at the barrier of the ring.

When it seemed that everything was over, a straggling bull appeared and the clock struck three minutes and 12 seconds when it got lost in the tunnel.
