(ANSA) - ROME, JUL 13 - A protest by taxi drivers is underway in Via del Corso with Palazzo Chigi and the neighboring access roads which are restricted by the police.
Taxi drivers have been asking for the removal of art.
10 of the competition bill which provides for the liberalization of the sector.
Firecrackers and smoke bombs have been exploded, with the police confronting the protesters, keeping them at a distance from the government building.
Slogan against the executive, the Prime Minister Mario Draghi, but above all against Uber.
Loud explosions of firecrackers follow one another in Via del Corso, where protesting taxi drivers are faced by the police, who have armored the institutional buildings and closed all access points.
