A "gifted", a "hard worker", a "master" for the young generation of authors... These are the words that come up most often to evoke Tony Valente.

A designer with a name little known to the general public but very popular with manga fans who will exceptionally be able to meet him for four days at the Japan Expo, which opens on July 14 at the Parc des Expositions de Villepinte (Seine-Saint-Denis) and expects more than 250,000 visitors.

At 37, he is the only Frenchman to have truly conquered Japan with his “Radiant” series.

Better still, in 2018, his manga, the initiatory story of a young wizard named Seth, was adapted and broadcast as an animated series by NHK, the Japanese equivalent of France Television, before ending up on Netflix.
