Sunflowers are in high season in July.
But there are some varieties of Helianthus annuus that you probably don't know yet.
Munich – Large, with spreading leaves and an oversized flower in bright yellow: the most eye-catching flower in the bed is probably the sunflower.
But as if her regular appearance wasn't intimidating enough, there are other strains that are far more eye-catching.

Fields, gardens and beds are theirs from June to October: sunflowers, which, with a height of up to five meters, make a person appear as a dwarf.
But in addition to the most common High Giant variety, there are also lesser known, but no less impressive species:
Chocolate Sunflower
American Giants
LemonQueen
Sunspot or Pacino
Probably the most atypical sunflower is the “Chocolate” variety.
With its reddish-brown leaves and dark-brown flower centers, it contrasts with the yellow varieties. The leaves are slightly lighter than those of normal sunflowers.
"Chocolate" can be sown outdoors from April.
It reaches a height of about one and a half to two meters.

If you have space in the garden, you should grow the "American Giant" variety.
Not infrequently, the flowers are four to five meters high.
Whether as a solitary plant, in groups on fences, in front of walls or as a background plant - the variety is a perfect privacy screen.
Since it is large, it also needs fertilizer accordingly.
If you want to use the kernels, protection against birds and other potential thieves is recommended.
On the other hand, if you don't have your own garden, you should make a note of Sunspot, Pacino, Big Smile, Ballad and Little Leo.
These varieties can be cultivated in pots as they only reach a maximum height of 40 centimetres.
But they also need regular fertilizer.
Attention: All sunflowers of the species Helianthus annuus are annual!
