The trial of the four Egyptian 007s accused of kidnapping, torturing and killing Giulio Regeni in Cairo in 2016 remains suspended.
This was decided by the Court of Cassation which declared inadmissible the appeal of the Public Prosecutor of Rome against the decision of the GUP which on 11 April ordered the suspension of the proceedings by arranging new searches for the defendants to be notified of the documents.
With the decision of the Supreme Court, the margins are reduced, based on what is learned, to be able to celebrate a trial in Italy on the Regeni case.
