A huge scare.

Mountaineers were almost surprised by heavy rockfalls in the ascent of Mont-Blanc, which fell just a few meters from them.

The group, on the way back, was preparing to cross "the Goûter corridor".

An obviously dangerous and frequent phenomenon, in recent weeks, favored by the episode of severe drought.

A few hours earlier, faced with the growing risk, the guide companies of Saint-Gervais and Chamonix had also decided to suspend the ascent of Mont-Blanc by the normal route.

A decision welcomed by the mayor of Saint-Gervais, who asks "mountaineers to postpone their ascent of Mont-Blanc", in view of the danger posed by these rock falls.
