Monday morning at 8:25 a.m., an RER B train triggered an alarm following "a suspicion of people" on the tracks between La Plaine Stade de France and Gare du Nord, explained the RATP.
Traffic was then interrupted in the north of the line, between Gare du Nord and La Plaine Stade de France, then in the south between Gare du Nord and Châtelet.
11 trains were stopped in the tunnels.
A first RER D was authorized to enter Gare du Nord at 9:07 a.m. but "spontaneous evacuations on the two remaining trains in the tunnel did not allow traffic to resume," said the RATP.
These two remaining trains were therefore also evacuated by station agents, security guards and firefighters between 9:08 a.m. and 10:50 a.m., according to the RATP.
Bottles of water were distributed at Châtelet station.
"We stayed two hours on the train, it was super hot, people were feeling unwell," says Shesley, who testifies in our video at the top of the article.
Traffic was able to resume on the entire line around 1 p.m., but remained disrupted in the afternoon, according to the line B Twitter account.
