(ANSA) - ROME, JUL 19 - The mayor of Terracina (Latina), Roberta Tintari, was arrested today as part of a carabinieri operation.
The accusation against her is of corruption.
On the basis of what is learned, the president of the Municipal Council and two councilors were also reached by precautionary measures.
There are a total of five arrests made by the Carabinieri and the Port Authority.
The investigation is coordinated by the Latina Public Prosecutor's Office and concerns the maritime sector.
In particular, the Tintari are disputed angry with the disturbed freedom of the enchantments and false in relation to the management of the municipal beach.
The facts date back to 2019 and the deputy mayor Pierpaolo Marcuzzi is also involved in the proceeding, already reached by precautionary measure last January.
Among the persons investigated there is also the MEP of Fratellid'Italia Nicola Procaccini.
Against the parliamentarian the accusations are of undue inducement to give or promise utility and disturbed freedom of enchantments.
Procaccini was mayor of Terracina between 2011 and 2015 and between 2016 and 2019.
Altogether fifty people ended up in the register of the suspects in a survey concerning the management of the public house and in particular the contracts for the management of the beaches.
