A team member in the drama series "Law and Order: Organized Crime" was shot dead today (Tuesday) in the program's set.
According to police reports released in the United States, the victim was a 31-year-old man who worked at the program as a security guard. His name was not released and suspects in the shooting have not yet been arrested.
"We are very sad and shocked to hear that one of our staff members was a victim of the crime that led to his death," NBC, the network that broadcasts the successful show, said.
"We are working with law enforcement as they continue to investigate. Our hearts go out to the family and friends of the victim."
The spin-off series for "Law and Order" is currently filming the episodes of its third season.
The final episode of its second season aired in the US about two months ago.
