ANSA Lavoro - CATANIA, 20 JUL - "The job of the trade union is not to bring down governments or replace governments, but to contract with them to bring home results for the people we represent or to carry out the reforms that we believe are right for the country. Today is the time to give answers to people's problems and not to bring down the government. It is time for the government and Parliament to decide to do very specific things for the problems that exist ".

Maurizio Landini said this at the presentation, in Catania, of the 'project for Sicily' of the regional CGIL.

"It is not yet clear what the political forces decide to vote and I believe that Draghi has clearly re-proposed the theme: to move forward he wants to see if the pact with which he was born is confirmed. If this government was born it is because there was a crisis and there was the pandemic, the PNRR to be presented in Europe in a few months. If this situation had not existed, we would have already gone avot. The proposal voted by the parties was born out of a state of necessity ".

"So the CGIL - added Landini - said that what the President of the Republic had done was right. I have not changed my mind on this. And I consider it important that today they measure and are answers to people's problems".
