The cake is a culinary symbol for the celebration.
She will always be there for a big event like a birthday or wedding, on holidays, a holiday or in honor of Shabbat and also just when we want to celebrate an intimate and modest event like the beginning or end of the day with coffee and a sweet slice of cake on the side.
Our arsenal of recipes contains hundreds of cake recipes - with chocolate, with cheese, fruit inlays, in buns, in layers, with yeast, stuffed and more and more.
In honor of the International Cake Day that took place today, we were asked to choose only seven recipes (!), A difficult task for all opinions and yet here you are, beloved and recommended.

The Chocolate: French chocolate cake
Of all the cakes, chocolate cakes can be crowned as the most popular cake genre.
The category is of course wide and full in itself - you can find endless recipes and versions.
Simple chocolate cakes, through birthday cakes, cakes on the purity of chocolate, slices and more and more.
This time we chose a French chocolate cake from the Ella Geffen and Yael Sela Foundation, the women behind "The Girls Love Food".
A soft and juicy chocolate cake with very little flour (only 3 tablespoons!) And lots of chocolate.

Cheesecake and espresso with chocolate cream (Photo: Walla !, Dor Moshe)
The cheesecake: cheesecake and espresso with chocolate cream
Even among cheesecakes, the sky is the limit, but we really like to return to this recipe for cheesecake by Dor Moshe.
First of all because of the taste and the perfect combination between the cheese that gets a delicate aroma of espresso and the strengthening of chocolate cream on top.
Second, because of the ease of preparation, which is not typically typical of baked cheesecakes.
Here there is no need for a mixer, egg separations or whipping cream, and the pancake is made from ground biscuits with butter, so that even at the stage of preparing the crunchy dough, skip lightly.
All that is left is to mix, put in the oven and after cooling watch the chocolate cream.

Without baking: A crazy biscuit cake
Sometimes it seems that biscuit cakes are a genre of cakes that we developed here in Israel.
But this cake is no longer a regular biscuit cake.

A crazy and unique cake.

Lemon: Lemon and coconut pie for the lazy
If you too are addicted, like us, to the addictive and lemony taste of lemon pie, but do not have the desire or time to make a classic lemon pie with crispy dough and meringue, you are going to fall in love with this recipe, also from Two Sanders.
At the bottom, ground biscuits with coconut and butter, in the middle of a ceramic and lemon filling that requires only agile mixing in a bowl and finally a ground coconut coating that adds both a sweet exoticism and a beautiful and festive look.

A cake in a hush with milk jam, always wins (Photo: from the blog Cookies.net)
The stir-fry: A stir-fry cake with milk jam
The baked cakes are the ones that accompany us on a daily basis.
Simple and easy to prepare, they only require mixing in a bowl.
This cake by Natalie Levin from the famous baking blog Cookies.net, is especially our favorite.
A cake that is tender and soft, with a cinnamon scent whose batter is poured into a mold in two layers.
Between the layers form mounds of milk jam, which makes it more interesting and delicious than just another cake in the sense.
We discovered that not only milk jam can be put in, but any favorite spread like chocolate, nutella, lotus spread and more, and that way each time a slightly different cake is obtained.
