(ANSA) - BRUSSELS, JULY 20 - The EU Commission gives the green light to an amendment to the temporary crisis framework on state aid to support the companies most affected by the expensive energy exacerbated by the war in Ukraine.
In this way, the aid limits are increased and the possibilities for investing in renewables and diversification are expanded.
"The situation is serious and we need to step up our efforts to phase out fossil fuels. With the amendment we will help accelerate the introduction of renewables and the decarbonisation of industries, in line with the RePowerEu," said Vice President Margrethe Vestager.
