Kosher restaurants fill the high-quality culinary mainstream in Israel, but "Master Chef" still cooks crab biscuits • When will they come out of the bubble?

That day of the week I came across two media items related to food and that were related to each other.

One, an article in the Haaretz newspaper about Chef Aviv Moshe making his restaurant kosher.

"It has never been so difficult," said the subtitle, "to find pork on the menu in Israel."

This information is well known to me as a food lover and kosher observer.

The number of quality kosher restaurants in Israel has broken every possible record, and it is growing daily.

The mass of kosher eaters in Israel has reached numbers from two markets, and is being increased by the traditional immigration from France.

The coastline from Netanya to Ashkelon has been occupied at enormous rates, and the stubborn outpost of Tel Aviv is also being eroded, street after street.

In a short time, the high-quality culinary mainstream in Israel will be kosher.

A list of good restaurants, if conducted honestly and not from a political or social position, will have to include a majority of kosher restaurants.

Then, in the evening, I saw on TV a dish of bisque (soup) prawns.

It happened on my favorite cooking show, "Master Chef," which this season surpasses itself and I think is really great.

What happens to me when I see a crab dish on my favorite food show?

is nothing.

I am not shocked or outraged, I do not run to dip in the mikveh or rinse my mouth with holy liquids like fresh soup with kneadlech or mint crystal.

I just understand, in one second, from the naturalness with which the judges relate to the contestant's choice to present a dose of crabs, that I am not at home.

That this TV broadcasts to me and maybe for me, but it's not mine.

Say: And what about that?

So she's not yours.

or!

I say.

Correct question and in its place.

And the answer lies in the preamble of things, here above.

How does Keshet, the most powerful and leading media body in the country, allow itself to make millions of Israelis feel cold and alienated and feel that they are watching television that is not theirs?

For a moment, leave God, the Torah of Israel, our ancestors who gave their lives, the principles of the character of a Jewish state. Let's talk business net. Will contain pork / seafood / meat and milk.Where is the marketing / branding consideration?

And the answer lies, for many years, in the media DNA in Israel, which determines the nature of all media, their spirit and their agenda. It has to do with the bubble disconnect that characterizes the vast majority of channel executives, which causes them to ignore the truth and continue to see the world around them, to which they transmit, through their social and occupational environment. Who has been stuck on a medium whip for years and can't open and see the big picture.
