A party near the Israeli city of Tel Aviv has ended fatally.
A so-called sinkhole had opened up under the swimming pool of a villa in Karmi Yosef where a company event was taking place and water, objects and a man were ripped under the pool, according to several media reports.
The 32-year-old employee of the company died.
A 60-year-old couple who own the property have been arrested on suspicion of involuntary manslaughter.
The Times of Israel quoted local media as saying the homeowner built the pool without planning permission in a location known to have infrastructure problems.
13 meter deep hole
According to media reports, the victim fell into the 13 meter deep hole.
It took rescue teams four hours to reach him.
A second man also fell into the hole but was able to free himself with minor injuries.
Cell phone footage shows images of the incident, the BBC reports: People in swimwear stand in and around the almost empty pool and watch the water being sucked into a large hole in the ground.
"The water level suddenly began to drop and a hole opened up, creating a whirlpool that took two people with it," a woman told Channel 12 News.
