(ANSA) - ROME, JUL 23 - A sailboat and a motorboat collided in the stretch of sea between the island of Giglio and the Argentario.
According to initial information from the Port Authority, at the moment the toll is one dead, one missing and four people rescued.
Following the collision, which took place around 5.30 pm, the sailboat would have split in two and sank.
The crash, say the rescuers, would have been very violent.
Among the four people saved there is allegedly a seriously injured person already transported by air ambulance to the Siena hospital.
In the area where the accident occurred, the area near the islet off Porto Ercole between Torre Ciana and the island of Giglio, there would be a depth of about 40 meters.
On the spot the fire brigade,
the coast guard and two helicopters.
