SANTA MONICA, CALIFORNIA - The release of Sony's God of War Ragnarök for the PS4 and PS5 has finally been officially announced and the fans are beginning to tremble: when will the game be available to buy?

What editions are there and how much do they cost?

If you want to pre-order God of War Ragnarök, you have the choice between four different editions.

There is Standard Edition, Launch Edition, Digital Deluxe Edition, Collector's Edition and Jötnar Edition.

Is there additional content if you pre-order?

No matter which edition of God of War Ragnarök you decide to pre-order, there's a shower of bonus content.

The launch edition is the cheapest version, but there are also small goodies for pre-ordering.

However, these are only available until the release of God of War Ragnarök.

This is in the standard edition:

The standard edition of God of War Ragnarök only includes the normal game.

You'll get God of War Ragnarök on PS4 or PS5, but you won't get any additional content otherwise.

To get the Standard Edition, you must pre-order the God of War Ragnarok Launch Edition.

For a price of 10 euros, the standard edition of the PlayStation 4 can be upgraded to the PS5 console.

What's in the Launch Edition:

Pre-order the God of War Ragnarök Standard Edition and you'll get the game on your choice of platform (PS4 or PS5).

You will also receive two pieces of digital content, armor for Kratos and one for Atreus.

That's in the Digital Deluxe Edition:

In the Digital Deluxe Edition you get a whole lot more digital content.

So if you ever switch consoles, you won't have to pay anything to upgrade the game.
