Big child with big dreams - but what to do with them?

That's what Jaksch (Jakob Schreier) asks himself in "Fat und Fett".

ZDFneo is now showing the second season of the great series "Fett und Fett".

What is life like in Munich when you are in your mid-thirties?

Just as!

Our series tip.

A series that aims to capture the millennial attitude to life has recently become available on Amazon Prime.

Actually a cheek, you think as someone who was born between 1981 and 1995.

The five young people who indulge their neuroses in the Amazon series “Damaged Goods” in Munich are portrayed bobbing in their own juice from sensitivities.

And despite everything, they keep reassuring each other how perfect they are in their imperfection.

Each a miracle, each a bit more individual - no reason to change anything.

As long as you're pretty politically correct.

Phew, trying really hard.

And then Jakob Schreier comes along and shows how it can be done better.

The actor, himself born in 1986, already showed in 2019 in the first season of

"Fett und Fett"

what really concerns the millennials from Munich.

Schreier stumbled through the nightlife on the Isar in the main character Jaksch mit Wegbier in a sympathetically shy way.

Always looking for - yes, what actually?

Jaksch doesn't really know that in the new four episodes either, of which ZDFneo will show two each on July 26, 2022 and August 2, 2022 from 9:45 p.m.

They are already available here in the ZDF media library.

Four times 25 minutes, which every millennial can of course see through in one go.

Binge watching dude.

“Bold and Bold” sums up what moves millennials

Unlike “Damaged Goods”, where the high-gloss scenery seems as artificial as the topics dealt with in it;

where you always have the feeling that shortly before the start of shooting a decorator placed dirty dishes in the Ikea kitchen - because: these are people who are grown up but don't really have their adulthood under control - you also forget in season two of "fat and fat" completely the staging.

Because as a mid-30-year-old from Munich, you actually recognize them all here, the types, the places, the worries, the discussions, the big questions that you ask yourself at the gas station at six in the morning after a night of sleep in a highly philosophical way.

And because you know how it feels when you bump into teenagers while partying.

And realizes that the 16-, 17-year-olds could be their own children.

As in episode two, the strongest of the four.

Jaksch has an insight that pretty much captures the attitude towards life of this Generation Y, for whom all doors seem to be open - if only one could choose one door!

"All the time I want things I really don't feel like doing.

Do sports, write your own piece.

And I'm breaking at this contradiction."

"Fat and Fat": Welcome to the 21st Century!

One World Problems, as millennials call it.

Ambitious, but doomed to fail.

Because the bite is missing and the ability to find a way through.

So, aren't they all that age?

It's correct.

The alternative is people like Amara (Samira El Ouassil).

Smart, assertive, successful, always active, well connected socially and adept at small talk at the next hip vernissage.

Either exhaust all potential or despair - welcome to the 21st century.

And in the middle of it all, Jaksch, this bear with a kind look.

Why do people still like to follow him through the Munich Kammerspiele, the Maxvorstadt or to his family in the country?

Because he's doing something the Damaged Goods kids can't: don't take themselves too seriously.

"Your world pain isn't worth 50 cents!" Says his girlfriend Svenia (great: Svenia Bayer) dryly.

Then they both laugh and stagger on through the city.

Big kids with big dreams.

One wishes very much that they dream a few more seasons.
