Zucchini recipes are very popular in summer.
Do you already know the crispy and healthy alternative to potato chips: zucchini chips?
They are easy to make yourself.
In front of the TV or in a relaxed atmosphere with friends, people like to have something to snack on.
Unfortunately, potato chips, nachos and co. are not the healthiest choice.
But here's a clever idea: make your own healthy chips - from zucchini.
The green vegetable is currently in high season and tastes good in all sorts of recipe variations, such as stuffed, grilled or as a zucchini salad with feta.
But it is also ideal for being processed into crispy chips.
All you need is some oil, your choice of spices and an oven.

Make zucchini chips yourself: This is how the recipe works
Wash the courgettes and cut them into thin slices.
The thinner, the crispier the result!
Place the zucchini slices on a board and sprinkle with salt to drain the water.
Preheat the oven to 110°C fan oven.
Pat the zucchini slices dry with a kitchen towel to remove the moisture.
Put the courgettes in a bowl and mix them with the pepper, paprika powder, garlic granules and the olive oil.
Of course you can also use other spices of your choice, for example chilli powder.
Spread the seasoned zucchini slices on a baking tray lined with baking paper. They should not be on top of each other, but should be a little apart.
Bake the zucchini chips in the oven for 35 to 40 minutes.
Open the oven door from time to time so that the evaporated moisture can escape and the chips will be nice and crispy.
Then take the tray out of the oven and let the zucchini cool down a bit.
Put the crispy zucchini chips in a bowl and season again to taste, for example with salt, pepper or herbs.
And the perfect snack for a TV evening is ready.
At least as tasty as store-bought chips, but much healthier and lower in calories.
Incidentally, the zucchini chips not only taste good as a pure snack, but also in salads, as a topping in soup or spread with quark.
If you also want to save calories with the dip, you should try this quark tip for more creaminess.
So versatile, so delicious – Bon appetit!
