Say happy birthday to Rishon Lezion, the fourth largest city in Israel, which is celebrating its 140th anniversary.

The celebrations will begin on Tu Bav, August 10, the date on which the city was founded, with a celebratory show in the Mosheva garden with the participation of many artists, including Moshe Peretz, Shay Gebso, Tom Yaer, Oz Zahavi, Skazi, Dana Frieder, Olympic medalists Linoi Ashram and Peter Palachik , Maya Avraham, Tahonia, Shiran Huberman, etc. Most of the events will be open to the general public.

In its 140 years, Rishon Lezion has grown from a settlement to the fourth largest city in Israel, which will soon become the third largest city.

The city was even nicknamed the "Golden City", after three of its residents - Linoy Ashram, Artyom Dolgupiat and Peter Plechak - won gold and bronze medals in the last Olympics in Tokyo.

The events of the 140th, which will begin on Tu Bab, will be held under the motto "My first, our first, your first" - encouraging belonging, unit pride, community and involvement, and will span the entire year.

In the first event that will open the 140th celebrations and will take place over two days on August 10-11, 2022 in Gan Moshava, various episodes and angles of Rishon Lezion's existence will be presented in a variety of fields, and will be attended by famous residents of the city, including the city's resident Olympic champions Linoy Ashram and Peter Palachik, And also the recent European vice-champion, Ofir Haim, the coach of Israel's youth team.

Comedian Tom Yaer will appear during the evening as the character from "Eretz Fahadrah" Ags Kimmel, with the song that has become a local anthem "Find me first."

The following will also appear: Moshe Peretz, Shay Gebso with a song specially arranged for this evening, Skazi and Oz Zahavi, who will be entrusted with part of the event's hosting.
