(ANSA) - CATANZARO, JUL 27 - Don Mattia Bernasconi, the presbyter of the parish of San Luigi Gonzaga in Milan who celebrated a woman at sea in Crotone at the end of a free volunteer camp, is registered in the register of suspects by the Crotone prosecutor who opened a booklet on the celebration which took place on Sunday in the locality of Alfieri on an inflatable mat.
The parish priest is under investigation for offense of religious confession.
The initiative of the prosecutor Giuseppe Capoccia would arise, according to when learned in judicial environments, from the examination of articles and photos that appeared above all on social media that would have offended the Catholic religion.
Meanwhile, the priest has apologized.
"I am writing you a few lines to apologize for the celebration on Sunday 24 morning in the waters of the sea of Capo Colonna".
Don Mattia Bernasconi, vicar of the pastoral care for young people, writes this in a letter published on the website of the parish of San Luigi di Gonzaga in Milan.
"It was absolutely not my intention to channel the Eucharist or to use it for other messages of any kind", adds Don Bernasconi.
