Stephen King's latest novel, Gwendy's Last Task, co-written with Richard Chizmar, is the end of a trilogy.
My book tip.

Stephen King readers know it: the master of horror has his very own writing voice.
In this novel, one subliminally hears the voice of its co-author.
It's unusual, but it doesn't take away from the enjoyment of reading.
Stephen King & Richard Chizmar "Gwendy's Last Task": About the Book
I only got into this part of the story.
That won't stop me from reading the other two novels.
Even though I've spoiled myself a bit.
The last part "Gwendy's last task" plays, completely unusual for a king, not in Maine, but in space.
Gwendy, now in high political office responsible for climate issues, goes into Earth orbit for scientific purposes.
But she is on her own secret mission.
The wish box has returned to her, more powerful and destructive than ever.
The task of saving the world could become a journey of no return for her.

More topical issues are also discussed.
Not very motivating that, according to King and Chizmar, the Corona crisis will not be under control in 2026 either.
Gwendy is now 64 years old and is suffering from the onset of dementia.
This is more of a hindrance to her endeavor to bring the "wish box" to safety.
In addition, there is another person on the flight who wants to get hold of it.
Stephen King & Richard Chizmar "Gwendy's Final Task": My Conclusion
It's not one of the best Stephen King novels I've read so far.
And from author Richard Chizmar, it's even the first time.
Nevertheless, I quickly found myself rooting for the protagonist Gwendy.
I had a lot of fun when I realized that King had again managed to accommodate his own novels as a so-called "Easter Egg".
For fans of suspense and a touch of science fiction, this series is for you.
As mentioned at the beginning, I will definitely buy the first two volumes as well.
