Bayern Munich, with Sadio Mané scoring in the first official match after the transfer from Liverpool, beat Leipzig 5-3 (3-0) on the lawn of the Red Bull Arena, and won the tenth German Super Cup.
Julian Nagelsmann's players took control of the match in the first half, thanks to goals from Jamal Musiala (15 '), Mané (31') and Benjamin Pavard (45 ').
In the second half Marcel Halstenberg (59 ') reduced the gap for Leipzig, before Serge Gnabry restored the three-goal difference (66').
Christophe Nkunku (77 'from a penalty) and Dani Olmo (89') rekindled the hosts 'hopes, but Leroy Sané (98') put an end to Leipzig's recovery dreams.
