(ANSA) - ROME, JULY 31 - The England women's national team was crowned European champion, for the first time in its history, beating Germany 2-1 in extra time at Wembley, in front of over 87,000 spectators, an absolute record for a European final , even male.


   For Germany it is the first defeat of nine finals played in the continental tournament, while the English had lost their other two games previously.
