There are about twenty of them in the dark, partially lit by small spotlights, swaying their hips to the rhythm of the hip hop sound of the 2000s spat out by loudspeakers worthy of a discotheque.
From the outside, you might think they're having fun in a nightclub.
Except it's noon.
And they're at a sports club.
Inspired by the New York concept of "Party fitness", the MVMT Club opened its doors a few weeks ago in the second arrondissement of Paris.
According to them, it offers a unique experience in the capital: playing sports in a nightclub atmosphere.

“We find the same equipment as in the club, explains William, coach in the sports establishment.
Often when you walk into a club, you immediately forget what you have to do the next day, what's going on outside.
In this room, we have the same objective.
Present sporadically during the course of about fifty minutes, muscle building takes second place here.
The main goal, "is to get the participants to let go, to gain self-confidence... It really has to be dancing, from start to finish", insists the coach.
It costs 29 euros per session.
There is no subscription, but the club offers session packs at decreasing prices.
“I love it,” confides Leïla, a regular, after a session.
“We let off steam, we have fun, we dance, it allows us to do a lot of exercise.
With the atmosphere of the room which is subdued, it feels like being in a nightclub, ”explains this lover of nightclub parties.
"It puts you in a different mood.
We feel less watched, less judged… We feel freer,” concludes Marie-Agnès, another client.
