"You have to get used to it, anyway there is no more water anywhere", laments Marie (
the first name has been changed
), aged 83.
This retiree has lived in Seillans (Var), near Draguignan, for nearly thirty years, and the plants in her garden have never been so dry.
Its water table is so dry that tank trucks fill it to be able to continue to draw from it without scraping the bottom, which would make the water unfit for consumption.
The 350 inhabitants of the district are rationed at the rate of 150 liters of water per day and per person to adapt consumption to the quantity available.
