Lukaku and the Pogba-Di Maria duo launch the assault on De Ketelaere's Milan.

Two weeks before the start, Serie A is dealing with the transfer market, which will extend until the end of August and the next championship will become more and more like a chair for three.

Inter and Juve are building two battleships capable of countering Pioli's fresh Milan streak.

The Nerazzurri had some difficulties after a rocket start that led to the defeat of the loss of Bremer, passed to the dear Juventus enemies with the fresh money of the sale of De Ligt.

However, Pogba's injury raises questions for Allegri that can be remedied by the next market moves.

To contend, on paper, the fourth place are Spalletti's Napoli, struggling with a staff revolution that has not yet been completed, and Roma more and more than Mourinho who has placed the Dybala shot and is waiting for Wijnaldum.

Slightly below, but able to fill what appears to be a gap at the moment, there are Gasp's Atalanta, who has entered Ederson and awaits Pinamonti, and Sarri's Lazio which has changed a lot but does not yet seem to have settled the his defensive problems.

Ready to take off is the Italian's Fiorentina who have placed several market hits, including the goalscorer Jovic, expected to redeem.

Dreaming of Europe are Sassuolo, who lost Scamacca and perhaps Raspadori, and the ambitious Monza, newly promoted by Berlusconi and Galliani, who led a big market.

Struggling with budget problems and with many sales, which for the moment have not found worthy replacements, are Turin, Verona and Bologna.

For the other seven a long season is looming to keep away from the relegation zone: apart from Udinese, which should, as usual, find the resources for a quiet championship (especially if it keeps the Beto-Deulofeu duo intact) for the others it will be tussle.

From the more experienced Empoli and Sampdoria (with the sword of Damocles of a still uncertain sale),

to the more reliable Spezia and Salernitana, to the newly promoted Cremonese and Lecce.

Then this year there will be the unknown of the season divided in two by the world championship in Qatar, moreover without the Azzurri, but the conditions for an uncertain and spectacular championship are all there.
