Important innovations for consumers in August 2022: student loans, employment contracts, medication - these new rules apply.
Munich - students should be happy.
Starting in August, you will receive a six percent increase in the Bafög rates, while the income of the parents, the protective assets and other allowances have been increased.
This means that Bafög recipients can benefit from up to around 930 euros per month in the winter semester.
Students who have health and long-term care insurance themselves and no longer through their parents receive higher supplements.

New rules for students as of August 1st:
side jobs: | Students should be able to earn 330 euros in a part-time job without affecting the Bafög amount - currently it is 290 euros. |
Child care allowance: | Students who already have children can in future receive a childcare allowance of EUR 160 per month instead of the previous EUR 150. The money is intended for babysitters, for example, when there are courses in the evening. |
age limit: | If you want to start studying later, you can also get Bafög in the future. The age limit is raised from 30 to 45 years. |
Pupils and trainees who do not live with their parents are also on the winning side.
From August you will receive 631 euros instead of the previous 585 euros.

Changes in August: New employment contracts and compulsory measles vaccination
Anyone who hires new employees from August 1st must specify more working conditions in the employment contract than before.
The reason is the implementation of the "EU directive on transparent and reliable working conditions".
The new proof law will apply from August 1st and is intended to create more clarity for employees.
Employers must provide the most important information about the position in the employment contract.
These include working hours, notice periods and salary.
Group practice and medical facility employees born after 1970 must provide proof of measles vaccination by July 31, 2022.
So this applies to employees in hospitals, medical practices and schools.

Anyone who does not provide this proof will no longer be allowed to work in the respective facility from August 1st without vaccination.

Changes in August: Cheaper medicines for patients
Starting in the new month, cheaper biopharmaceuticals will be available in pharmacies.
